Invisible Children

Saw this parked along the street last week in downtown Morgantown:

My first thought was, “Hmm, wonder if they’d like some invisible candy,” and went about my merry way, thinking it belonged to a band. Then curiosity got the best of me and I looked them up and discovered what Invisible Children was really about. And I promptly felt like an ass for making a joke.

And while their cause is a worthy one, I still must question the wisdom of promoting the protection of children’s rights on a vehicle that resembles something very, very bad for kids. (Maybe it looks less ominous in the daytime.) Either way, the documentary looks like it’s fascinating, albeit horrifying, and will soon find a spot on my must-watch list.
